Hi all,
 
 I have heard that the qualifications (restrictions) to get the full tax credit do not apply to leasing companies and that they will pass some or all of the credit thru to leasing individuals who would not qualify otherwise.  Info appears below.  YMMV.

There are actually a number of EVs which you can purchase for not only less than $40,000 but also less than $30,000. Additionally, you should receive up to $10,000 in federal, state and local rebates. Federal should be $7500. The state is I believe $2500 for vehicles under $50,000, and many local municipalities have an additional rebate of up to $1500.  
 
There really hasn’t been a better time to buy an EV. And with the rebates it’s better to get brand new than used.
