Carol, As all roadsides are Town-owned land, we would need to hire additional staff for a crew to regularly collect trash throughout town. Given what that would do to budgets ( and taxes), I would rather pick stuff up in my neighborhood. But those who feel otherwise could bring it up with the Select Board as they are constructing a budget for next year. That is our right as citizens. It is our town, our budget. Perhaps there is strong sentiment to have the town add this to the work of DPW. There is one way to find out!
