Hi Candy,

The recommendation is to pinch all blooms from blueberries in the first 3
years after planting them, so they will offer a high production. Otherwise
they generally don't offer as much as they could. I had lots of blueberries
when I lived in Lincoln, but they don't take mulching very well and may
stop producing if you mulch under them.
