By looking the workaround on the hacking branch, I changed the sleep(1)
to sleep(5) in /usr/share/pyshared/linaro_media_create/partitions.py,
and almost made it, but sadly it still fails at the last step.

to zero the first 512 bytes:  dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/foo7 bs=512 count=1
