Is there any simple or otherwise stuff I could look at?
http://lilypondblog.org/category/using-lilypond/advanced/
The only thing there that I could see was:
"Programmatically Generating LilyPond Input"
but that talks about generaing input from Python - I could do the same
for Ruby but I was looking for stuff in Scheme . . that could run
directly in the LilyPond file - like my random note generator script
does (which I only understand superficially) . .
Thanks,

Ah, you might look through this thread
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/lilypond-user/2013-07/msg00206.html
I think there were several very interesting approaches to do the same
from Scheme.
(Sorry to all that I didn't manage yet to *use* your contributions :-(
)
I had a look through all of that and downloaded everything but there
seems to be "issues" with anything that actually generated something.
Thanks anyway,
Regards,
Phil.
