So far, looks like a bug to me.  Writing

      { \revert TabStaff.Arpeggio.stencil }

instead (including braces) does have the desired effect.  Now the
question is how a bug of that calibre (reverts in context definitions
don't work) was able to make it through the regtests.

No idea.  I am on it.
