There is no problem without the accidental:
{ \repeat tremolo 16 { e32 a } }
Lilypond fails in the same way when I use cautionary accidentals also:
{ \repeat tremolo 16 { e32 a! } }
Am I doing anything wrong?
yep, what version are you using?
with 2.15.38 or 2.14.2 (stable) I don't get any error!
