This looks pretty good and it will do. Although I still feel as if the correct positioning (with a small horizontal line) will look more logical and elegant. But I remain with my main issue: *- How do I add text which is aligned with certain barlines? This is quite common for percussion notation to indicate which line represents which (part of an) instrument. In my case: which part of a gong to strike (center, mid or edge).* Anyone got a clue where to start looking? I don't mind doing some research: just can't seem to find a starting point.
