Yes. Edit the file ftplugin/lilypond.vim (in the ~/.vimfiles directory; copy it from /usr/share/lilypond/*/vim if you use the 'runtimepath' method of having Vim read the files that Lilypond installs there). Find the line setlocal shiftwidth=2 and delete it. Then Vim will use the same value that it uses for everything else. -- The first step in avoiding a trap is being aware of its existence.
