If it is a .tar file, it is an archive which needs to be unpacked. You should be able to
do it with a double-click.

Went to permissions and selected ilypond-2.24.4-darwin-x86_64.tar as the path. Still no
linkage. Do I need to do something else to get lilypad up and running so frescibaldi
recognizes it?
