On this list many (most?) people include in their reply the address of the person they're responding to, as well as the list address.

I don't like to keep raising the issue too frequently as I assume the list is run by volunteers who have other things to do with their time. https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/lilypond-user/2016-03/msg00512.html https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/lilypond-user/2016-04/msg00836.html The following gives a couple of ways of solving this: The first is to your change your subscription to the MIME version of the digest instead of text-only. The MIME version includes all the attachments in the emails. To do that, visit: https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-user At Subscription Options, type your email address in the box and press "Unsubscribe or edit options". Then type your password in the page that appears, and press "Log in". On the page that appears, scroll down to "Get MIME or Plain Text Digests?" and click on the button "MIME". (I presume you already have digest mode set in the box above.) Now scroll to the bottom and click on "Submit My Changes". The second method is to find the appropriate post in the archive at https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/lilypond-user/2024-07/ by searching that page for the Date, Subject, Author and time. (Note that the time given in the post might not be in the same time zone as the web page.) At the bottom of the post, you'll see links for downloading any attachments in the post. These links work, unlike the ones that you're complaining about. Do note that each month you have to update the 2024-07 above. I don't think there's a shortcut straight to the most recent page. One final thing: none of this used to apply to /inline/ images. I don't know whether that is still true or not. Cheers, David.
