On Debian/GNU Linux, it works "out of the box", perhaps due to: $ ls -l /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50lilypond-data.el -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 185 Nov 17 2014 /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50lilypond-data.el HTH, Gilles
