This is much more clear for the user than the documentation. It may be desirable, but it’s not *necessary* to add a warning. At this point, I don’t think we have the infrastructure to add the warning. Your use case is not the standard LilyPond use case. I’m not much motivated to spend a lot of time making the changes necessary to add a warning. If you’d like to propose a patch, I wouldn’t expect it to be rejected as long as it met LilyPond coding standards. Thanks, Carl
