I haven’t actually used Dropbox with Lilypond and Frescobaldi, but I use it for a lot of music-related activities, particularly to keep jazz lead sheets on iPads and a laptop in sync with my iMac. I can’t see your having any problem in accessing your template files - or indeed your .ly library - using Dropbox across numerous devices.
