I tried r2 r4 << { b~ | b8 b c d e f4.~ | } \\ { f4~ | f2 r | } >> f4. e8 r2 | But the tie got lost, probably because the <<\\>> construct creates a new and separate voice. I looked into creating a tie across voices but still haven't found a working solution. Now I'm sure this must be pretty simple. Would the solution work similarly with slurs?
