Hi, Where are you getting the .bz2 file from? It’s a gzip file as far as I can see, the downloadble file is gzip’d with a .gz suffix. Using the -j option on tar with a gzip tar file will produce the error you have.
As for the shell script unpacking, doe you have some defaults or an alias set somewhere for tar options? If so., unset them.
