I followed Dan's suggestion to use -std=c++17 instead of 11 and the error went away.
That meant I lost whatever build outputs that reproduced that error. I tried switching it back to -std=c++11 and for some reason I can't reproduce the error. Very odd. I couldn't get the error back with git bisect either
