Unfortunately, I've had some problems getting any other version than the current standard package from my Linux distribution cleanly installed on my system (probably I'm just not Linux-savvy enough). I've now uploaded a test file http://lukas-pietsch.de/Music/mensuraltest.ly and the expected output http://lukas-pietsch.de/Music/mensuraltest.pdf, with the same snippets as in the documentation pdf. If anybody could be so kind as to try and run that through their Lilypond installation? I'd heard about the possibility of writing one's own engravers in Scheme, which would certainly have been the more elegant way of doing most of this, but I couldn't find it accessibly documented anywhere and it didn't seem to be supported on the older versions anyway.
