Well, on this page: http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.13/Documentation/contributor/lilybuntu.html step 3 says: Install ‘lilybuntu.iso’ as the “client” operating system on your virtualized system. I could be wrong about this, but current my understanding is that you _do_ need to install lilybuntu. Hopefully somebody who uses it regularly can chime in here. (if the answer is that you definitely need to install it instead of just setting it as the boot cdrom, then I will clarify this in the docs) > >Please let me know as soon as you hit a snag, so that I can fix > >the docs. I consider the first snag to be the install-vs-mount question, so I'm not certain we should move on before getting a definite answer. But in case it's ok to move on... > I fail at this point: > 1.. On this page: http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.13/Documentation/contributor/using-lily_002dgit#install-and-configuration-of-lily_002dgit_002etcl I see the "wish lily-git.tcl" as step 3, not step 1. Step 2 is: Download the lily-git.tcl script from: http://git.sv.gnu.org/cgit/lilypond.git/plain/scripts/auxiliar/lily-git.tcl I believe that the downloaded file will either be in your $HOME/Downloads/ or $HOME/Desktop directory. The next version of lilybuntu will hopefully have the script already downloaded.
