http://codereview.appspot.com/8874/show I've revised the \left-brace command extensively so it uses a binary search to find the closest matching fetaBrace. You might notice that the braces produced are slightly smaller than the equivalent SystemStartBrace grobs for the same point size, but this is due to the fact that the StaffSymbol is widened by half a thickness in ly:staff-symbol::height. For a standard 20 point stave, this results in a selection of brace101 instead of the exact 20 pt brace, brace97.
