If I look syntax <c e> I'll see the notes, and looking at <<c e>> I'll see the angle brackets with my eyes going from left to right trying to focus. It is possible to drop << >> completely away from the syntax? << >> looks like a tautology of nestes < >'s. This is my suggestion for new syntax: simultaneous: \< \> chords: < > polyphony: < \\ > cresc and dim: -< -| and -> -| accent: not -< Opinios, opinions, opinions...
