Second example -- The National Football League in the United States.

In the US it a form known as an "unincorporated association" and is
recognized in some, but not all, states. (Partnerships also don't have
to have an act of legal formation.) The US Trademark Act allows for
registration by an unincorporated association if it is in a state which
recognizes them. Are there parallels in other countries?
