Should Win32::OLE work with Excel 2007?

I don't have Excel 2007 to test this myself, but somebody that uses a 
perl distribution that I have built tells me that a script of his that 
uses Win32::OLE to access Excel spreadsheets and works fine with Excel 
2002 no longer works with Excel 2007.

Is this expected behaviour, or should it work?
