But yes, you need a payed version. Visual Studio 2012 also works, but when you want your builds to run on Windows XP, you must install at least update 1 for VS 2012, and you need to tell autogen.sh/configure to use the 7.1A SDK. > Which version of Windows is the best? Only paid stuff you need is Windows itself and the Visual Studio license.
