That would be my assumption when using it, too.

Is this serious enough to warrant fixing it in a point release? As a
stop-gap measure it certainly seems an adequate solution, but I'd
rather the focus be on decoupling Find bar and Search/Replace dialogue
for 3.5. Just two currency units.
