        :-) So - I'm talking the Xft.dpi setting which is used by GNOME and
LibreOffice; cf.

        $ xrdb | grep Xft

        Sure; and these numbers have (traditionally) been notorious for their
unreliability - but perhaps that has improved in recent times.
