Hello BogdanB,

Thank you again for investigating this issue!

I continued my investigation using a separate copy of the affected user profile
and have now obtained some interesting and reproducible results.

**1. Successful A/B/A test**

I established a working registration state containing:

- `backenddb.xml` from November 4, 2026
- `configmgr.ini` from November 4, 2026
- All 13 associated `.tmp` directories

All five language modules were available, including Hunspell, Libhyphen and
MyThes. This also remained true after restarting LibreOffice.

I then closed LibreOffice and replaced **only `configmgr.ini`** with the older
version from October 17, 2026.

Result: Hunspell, Libhyphen and MyThes disappeared immediately upon the next
LibreOffice start. Only the two Lightproof grammar checkers remained.

Finally, I closed LibreOffice and restored the newer `configmgr.ini` without
changing anything else.

Result: All five language modules reappeared.

The A/B/A sequence was therefore:

A – New `configmgr.ini`: 5 modules available.

B – Old `configmgr.ini`: only 2 modules available.

A – New `configmgr.ini` restored: all 5 modules available again.

**2. Comparison of both configmgr.ini versions**

Both files contain identical SCHEMA entries and the same DATA entries in the
same order.

The only differences are the names of 13 referenced `.tmp` directories.

For example:

Old: `lu1034033261.tmp`

New: `lu201125u9lw.tmp`

**3. Comparison of both backenddb.xml versions**

Both XML files contain the same 22 configuration entries in the same order.

Again, the only differences are the same 13 generated `.tmp` directory
identifiers.

The original, affected registration directory contained the old `backenddb.xml`
and `configmgr.ini`, but the `.tmp` directories referenced by these files were
missing.

The regenerated, working registration contains the new versions of both files
and all 13 corresponding `.tmp` directories.

**4. Conclusion**

These tests strongly suggest that missing or inconsistent references to the
generated `.tmp` directories in the bundled extension registration can prevent
Hunspell, Libhyphen and MyThes from loading.

Importantly, replacing only `configmgr.ini` was sufficient to reproduce the
missing-module symptom when the other registration data remained unchanged.

However, this experiment deliberately introduced an inconsistency. It does not
yet explain how the original user profile reached the inconsistent state.

I have preserved the old and new versions of both registration files and can
provide copies if they would be useful for further investigation.

I hope these findings help narrow down the issue.

Thank you for your time and your work on LibreOffice!
