--- Comment #11 from Jeff <[email protected]> ---
I'm experiencing the same startup failure with LibreOffice 26.8.2.2 on Windows
ARM64, despite having the latest Microsoft Visual C++ ARM64 Redistributable
installed.

System:
Windows 11 Home ARM64 (build 26300)
Snapdragon X Elite X1E80100, 12-core
LibreOffice 26.8.2.2 (native ARM64)
Visual C++ ARM64 Redistributable v14.51.36247.00

LibreOffice fails to launch with error 0xc000007b
(STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_FORMAT). Repairing the installation and updating the
Visual C++ runtime did not resolve the issue.

I investigated the installed binaries using PowerShell and found a potential
architecture mismatch.

The following LibreOffice components are correctly compiled for ARM64 (0xAA64):

- soffice.bin
- mergedlo.dll
- i18nlangtag.dll
- libxml2.dll
- swlo.dll
- sclo.dll

However, the bundled ICU libraries are compiled for x64 (0x8664):

- icuuc78.dll
- icuin78.dll
- icudt78.dll

A binary string search also identified references to these ICU libraries within
several ARM64 components, including mergedlo.dll, swlo.dll, sclo.dll,
i18nlangtag.dll, and libxml2.dll.

I haven't verified these references against the actual PE import tables or
captured a Windows loader trace, so I can't conclusively identify the failing
dependency. However, the mixed architectures seem worth investigating,
particularly given the 0xc000007b error.

I understand this issue previously received a fix related to bundling the ARM64
Visual C++ runtime, but the startup failure persists in LibreOffice 26.8.2.2
with the updated runtime installed.

Could someone verify whether the ARM64 installer is correctly packaging the ICU
libraries, or whether another dependency mismatch might explain the failure?

I'm happy to provide additional PowerShell diagnostics or test a corrected
ARM64 build if helpful.

Thanks!
