Bug ID: 174338
Summary: LibreOffice Writer has several serious issues with
tables.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.8.2.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: macOS (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
LibreOffice Writer has several serious issues with tables. The most annoying
one is that if you clear the content of certain cells—especially if there are
formulas involved—and then try to undo the action, the program freezes and you
are forced to close it. But there are often other strange behaviors as well,
such as formatting that changes on its own, emptied cells that suddenly show
the deleted content again after a while, and so on. It's hard to explain all
the bizarre behaviors that happen when working with tables. Try entering some
data and formulas, deleting a part of them, and then hitting undo. Even when
splitting columns, I've had data pulled from completely unrelated columns.
These problems have persisted ever since I started using tables, and with every
new version, I hope they get fixed. I hope my feedback proves useful.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Compile tables with data and formulas
2. Select a bunch of cells and press delete
3. Presso command-Z (undo)
Actual Results:
Probably LibreOffice freezes
Expected Results:
Return to the table I get before pressing delete
Reproducible: Sometimes
User Profile Reset: Yes
