Bug ID: 174100
Summary: Draw tab does not appear in the top toolbar when
clicking a text box, unlike regular shapes or Writer
text boxes.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Draw
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When creating a text box in LibreOffice Draw and selecting it, the top
contextual tab ("Draw") which includes formatting, alignment tools, and colors
does not appear. Note that this tab appears normally when selecting regular
shapes in Draw or text boxes in Writer, and the functionality is still
accessible via the sidebar.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice Draw.
2. Create a text box using the text tool.
3. Click or select the created text box.
Actual Results:
The top "Draw" tab and its formatting/arrangement options do not appear when
selecting the text box.
Expected Results:
The "Draw" tab should appear at the top when selecting a text box in
LibreOffice Draw, exactly as it does for regular shapes or text boxes in
Writer.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
The issue is specific to text boxes in the Draw application. The tools remain
available and functional in the sidebar as a workaround.
