Patrick (volunteer) <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW --- Comment #3 from Patrick (volunteer) <[email protected]> --- (In reply to obeydesign from comment #2) > The screen recorder won't let me record the Command-X inside the search box, > but the recording shows the spinning ball and everything else. I can now reproduce the bug. In your video, the text in the search box is unselected and the cursor is at the beginning of the word. That is the key so here are the steps that reproduce the bug: 1. Opened an existing Writer document. 2. Pressed Command-F to show the Find toolbar just above the statusbar. 3. Entered some text that exists in the document in the Find text field. 4. Key step: Searched for the text so that the first instance of the text is found and selected in the document. 5. Key step: Unselect all text in the Find text field and move the cursor to the beginning of the text in the Find text field. 6. Pressed Command-X. The Find text field became empty as expected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
