--- Comment #1 from Patrick (volunteer) <[email protected]> ---
I am unable to reproduce this bug. However, I'm using the slightly newer
version LibreOffice 26.2.5.2 and slightly newer macOS 26.6.2. Maybe one of
those newer versions fixed the bug?:

Version: 26.2.5.2 (AARCH64)
Build ID: cd7284b4cbbfeb507e630c1aac019f4157393acb
CPU threads: 8; OS: macOS 26.6.2; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: osx
Locale: en-CA (en_CA.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

If it helps, here are the steps I used:

1. Opened an existing Writer document. I opened a document with only Times New
Roman "lorem ipsum" text. No images, frames, etc.
2. Pressed Command-F to show the Find toolbar just above the statusbar.
3. Entered some text that exists in the document in the Find text field.
4. Pressed Command-A to select all of the text in the Find text field.
5. Pressed Command-X. The Find text field became empty as expected.
