I would rather remove the button from the from the notebookbar. According to
interface guidelines (e.g. Win 32) both toolbars [1] and ribbons [2] should be
used for triggering commands that have an immediate effect; even intermediate
dialog windows should be avoided if anyhow possible.
Thus, I suggest the button to be removed and a setting to be used, until we can
have the possibility to immediately change of the view mode.
