Bug ID: 173209
Summary: EDITING Calc drag date cell down two cells to extend
causes cursor to move up instead when data exists to
right of date column
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.3.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I click the lowest cell in a column with a date value in a Calc worksheet. Note
that data should also be in columns to right of the current cell so that the
selected column is not the right-most column with data. I then try to slowly
drag that date cell down to extend the date. Move down one cell and this works
as expected. As soon as I drag down to the next lowest cell (total of two cells
dragged through), instead of moving down, the cursor jumps up by an unknown
number of cells and applies the date to the above cells instead of extending
the date sequence to the lower cells.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter data in columns A, B (make this a date value), C of sheet for 10 rows
(10 is arbitrary number)
2. Select lowest cell in column B (any column that is not furthest to the right
in all the columns but must be a date value)
3. Click lower right corner and attempt to drag the date cell down by more than
one cell to extend the formula or data
4. Cursor automatically jumps up a number of cells (7 cells?)
Actual Results:
Cursor selects cells above selected cell and applies formula to above cells
Expected Results:
Current cell selection should drag down instead of jumping up a given number of
cells
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
