You mean that searching for formatting attributes should always run on both DF
and styles? How about the use case to clean a document from DF where you apply
a CS to those places where DF is used? There are many more use cases that
requires the distinction. => NAB/INVALID

The dialog is heavily overloaded and any other string needs to take the default
"[ ] Paragraph Styles" into account (click "No Format" to get it back after
picking some attribute). I wouldn't touch it.

My take: No change to the workflow and the string but forward this to
documentation.
