--- Comment #5 from Tom Atkinson <[email protected]> --- Created attachment 202089 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=202089&action=edit Video of slow loading times + feature request: interuptable crash-autosave + load/save animation UI request please When I saw in the video "crash-autosave", I'm not referring to the autorecovery period associated with: [tick] my Load/Save / General / Auto-Recovery info every 60 minutes i have set to 60 becauase it takes about 2 minutes to save on my grunty workstation, however as soon as the cursor has moved to another page or type a litte, much sooner than "60 mionutes" which is the setting i have, the program will kick into what I call "crash-autosave" and I cant type for 4 minutes, or in this video 10 minutes. My feature request could roll out with a bigger visual: - Load/Save animation made larger more obvious - Upon scroll or typing event, **cancel** the crash-autosave but then immediately (same second) restart the autosave with the new scroll position or typing edit - I've had a lot of crashes but never any corruption to the autosaves are working well - WIth this I could reduce my autorecovery save to 10 mins especially if the crash-autosave is able to be cached and contribute the save for the autorecovery save.. - this is the autosave that you can't control in the settigs - I trained myself to not hit save as it would freeze for 4 minutes - Can I launch Libre writer with debug flags turned on?
