There is a comment in section 5.33 Stripping that reads "At this point, you should have at least 850 MB of free space in $LFS that can be used to build and install Glibc in the next phase. If you can build and install Glibc, you can build and install the rest too."
However the disk usage requirements for GCC-4.7.2 in section 6.17 are stated as 2GB?
