we compiled ( blfs svn-20061028 ) the KDE core packages as well as some of the
additional packages ( admin, network and pim 3.5.2 ).
Issuing "startx" brings up the KDE splash screen and than the KDE desktop.
However: there are _no_ apps at all on the desktop. It shows 3 icons: home,
system and trash. Clicking on them brings up an empty mask.
Clicking the "K" on the left corner shows the same behaviour. There are no
kmails, kate etc, although these apps are all in /opt/kde/bin.
Does someone know what we did wrong ?
We use Xorg-7.1, the system is working. And no error messages !
