Hello,
I've listed my '/dev/hdb1' drive in my '/etc/fstab', and I know it's
formatted as swap (not ext2 or ext3).
However, when I run 'mount' to list the drives, it's not shown. Also,
nothing indicates it's not mounted during boot (no 'FAIL' or 'WARN').
How do I know it's mounted and used ?
How can I turn on logging of the boot process to a file so I can check
what happens ? Must I modify the 'functions' file in /etc/rc.d/init.d to
turn on boot logging or is there an easier way ?
Here's some info:
# Begin /etc/fstab
# file system mount-point type options dump fsck
# order
/dev/hda1 / ext3 defaults 0 0
/dev/hdb1 swap swap pri=1 0 0
/dev/hda6 /var ext3 defaults 0 0
/dev/hda6 /srv ext3 defaults 0 0
/dev/hda7 /home ext3 defaults 0 0
/dev/hdb5 /tmp ext3 defaults 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=4,mode=620 0 0
shm /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
# End /etc/fstab
'mount' gives:
/dev/hda1 on / type ext3 (rw)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
/dev/hda6 on /var type ext3 (rw)
/dev/hda6 on /srv type ext3 (rw)
/dev/hda7 on /home type ext3 (rw)
/dev/hdb5 on /tmp type ext3 (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=4,mode=620)
shm on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
Thanks for the help,
Julien
