I have just bought a new Dell dimension 3100 which had a SATA harddrive. I wanted to follow the LFS book using the LiveCD but it wouldnt recognise the HD. I booted using SLAX Livecd which runs a 2.6.12.2 kernel and it picked up the HD without any problems. So my question is will I have problems using the Slax livecd distro to follow the LFS book,if so could you recommend a better livecd? Does my SATA drive pose any problems with the LFS build since the livecd didnt like it.
