I've updated the Updated LFS 6.3 livecd. It meets or exceeds the host system requirements (outside of gawk as an update to gawk isn't needed), and have updated Make, wget, sudo (for jhalfs builds), pciids, usbids, BOOK XML and BOOK HTML, ssl certs, and updated to linux 3.10.11. It should work. Remember, don't submit issues to the lfs or clfs lists.
