OK, the first step would be to to create an iso that could be put on a 
CD or used in a virtual system that boots to a basic LFS (command line) 
system.  Beyond LFS, there would need to be a system to give the user a 
choice between a static IP address or getting one via dhcp, wget, lynx 
or links, and ssl/ssh.

Later, additions like xorg, with one of the basic window managers, 
subversion, the book's sources and sources and rendered versions, and 
the current packages could be added incrementally.

Get the first step going and I'll give you an account on the server 
where you can upload the iso versions you create.

Discussion about the project on this list would be appropriate.
