OK, I'll look at that again.  It's probably an error on my part.

I'm not opposed to building all of systemd in BLFS and installing just 
the parts needed.  That's what upstream says was intended for udev only 
systems.  I am opposed to adding extra libraries to LFS just to satisfy 
systemd configure requirements for code we are not going to use.
