Thanks for the response. If you don't mind, please post your build notes and or comments here (although you're welcome to send them to me via e-mail too). I'm very interested in how you handled Glibc. You can seem my experience with that package in my September 1st message to this group, "Honing package users: some build notes. . . and problems." I'm also interested in your notes on GCC. I didn't actually start using the build script template for scripting and logging package user builds until after I built GCC.
