I couldn't see this listed at http://marc.info/?l=linux-stable-commits&r=1&b=201004&w=2 so it may be worth sending this to Greg KH via sta...@kernel.org. Just mention the patch subject line, commit ID and the nature of the failure, it may be enough to get it into the next 2.6.33.x release.
