I think if we went adding software that is "nice to have" LFS would
quickly become quite bloated. I consider a text browser to be an
essential part of getting your system up and running, but that is
something that I firmly believe belongs in BLFS. If a user needs wget or
DHCPCD, then it is down to the user to hop over to BLFS themselves and
install them. LFS doesn't exist to tell you how to build your system, it
is merely the minimum necessary to get a system booted; I consider
network connectivity to be configuration of that system, and thus falls
under BLFS.
