I'm not sure if the community has decided what direction to take here. I need to get some kind of boot loader into the jh branch (currently there is none) so I will be playing around with a more flexible approach to installing one there. Basically, I'm going to create a bootloader sub-section inside chapter 8 "Making the LFS System Bootable". Seems appropriate. The section will contain (at least for now) instructions for patched grub legacy and lilo and allow a user to make a choice. The sub-section could also point to other alternatives, even listing 'use the host's bootloader configuration' as an option. Maybe then the community can decide if it wants to merge the whole section over, or just use bits of it, or even go a completely different direction. -- JH -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
