Well, I'm not sure what the original paper had in it. I assume it's probably similar to the device-model-ols.sxi file (since the file name seems to be similar), however that's just a slideshow, not really a full paper. There are also some issues with the correctness of the information in the 2002 slideshow. He's talking a lot about driverfs, which is gone now, and there's a slide or two that talks about /sbin/hotplug, which is also gone now. Perhaps the 2005 PDF on sysfs is best, since it's at least correct on most of the things that have been changed since 2002. Or perhaps we should just remove it. I wish I'd read the driver-model paper before, so I knew what kind of information was in it, and whether it was worth keeping (i.e. replacing it with something else).
