Could you give some more specifics on that? I, too, remeber that there was indeed something planned for 2.7, but that was waaay back when there was gonna *be* a 2.7. Now we know that there won't be a 2.7---at least not in the foreseeable future---, and the "something" I'm talking about was H. Peter Anvins Linux ABI Header project which died two years ago.
