Having thought about all these dependencies again, I just want to say that Chris, you are doing a kick *ss job! When you guys see the finished product of what Chris has put together on the deps, you will be impressed. I would have never remembered that autoconf used perl modules. My method of testing dependencies was to let my scripts go, see if it bombed anywhere and hope that ICA showed some differences from changing order. I only read the logs if I suspected something and rarely did I go to all the effort of manually removing packages to see if the one being built depended on the other. This shows if you look at the bug and see how many dependencies I figured out vs. how many Chris did.
